New rocks

I took a wee road trip up to North Carolina for the Franklin Gem Show on Friday.

new stones

6 hours of driving solo round trip, for 1.5 hours spent speed shopping.

Here you see the fifty rocks that I've brought home.

!!!

I'm so ready to make stuff again,
the ideas are burning holes through my sketch book.

...it's a countdown to the end of August,
when I can get back to work again full time...

Are you ready?

Those days of summer...

Lazy July days in Georgia.
If you can tolerate the heat, there's nothing more summerish than taking to the double-wide hammock with your favorite person, an ice-cold Limonata, and a good book.

While I haven't done much jewelry-wise since preschool ended in May, SweetPea and I have been busy, busy, busy, playing with friends, learning French, practicing yoga, making art, hanging out.

But, the end of summer break draws near down in the South.
Back-to-school is looming large,
and we're down to our last few weeks of vacation.
(why school starts in August and not September like up north, I'll never quite understand)

The imminent going 'back to school' of SweetPea
means the return of uninterrupted studio time for me.

Yes, friends.
I am going back to making jewelry.

My semi-permanent hiatus ends soon.

Brand new designs are on the horizon.

Regular blog posts will also resume.

all by late-August.

I'm SO looking forward to creating again!

 In the meantime, however....
Those days of summer
...

Those days of summer
hope you're enjoying the kind of rest and relaxation
that comes only with these lazy summer months.

xoxo,
and looking forward to seeing more of you soon,
Alice :)
